Lectio Divina (Latin for "Divine Reading") is a monastic way of reading the Bible that encourages promote communion with God and increased knowledge of God's word.
Traditionally, Lectio Divina has four separate steps: slow, deliberate reading; meditatation; prayer, and contemplation.
